Full Description
This Greek SME specialises in the design and manufacture of thermal insulation panels (thermo-panels) made of polyurethane and polypropylene (PPU). The company is dedicated to harnessing the power of the sun and creating an energy efficient environment by providing complete energy-saving insulation installations for domestic and industrial sites.

The thermopanels are three-layer building elements that are becoming more and more popular in modern construction (such as cladding of residential buildings) due to their excellent properties and functional indicators.

Thermal panels are made of two layers of sheet metal, between which there is a third thermal insulation layer. The insulating material can be polyurethane foam, mineral wool based on basalt fibers or styrofoam.

A building structure, assembled from thermal panels, is considerably lighter compared to classic monolithic construction. First of all, this means easy transport and loading. As a result, the time allotted for construction is significantly reduced. The low weight of thermal panels means a significant reduction of the load on the foundation on which the building is built. In this way, the costs of building the foundations of the structure are also reduced.

Another specific feature of thermopanels is their high degree of fire resistance. For this reason, they are a preferred material for the construction of gas stations, for example.

The client is looking for commercial partners for the wholesale or distribution of its thermopanels.
Advantages and Innovations
The thermal insulation system has a negligible effect on existing buildings and is ideal for:-
- renovation & energy upgrading of old buildings
- increasing energy efficiency of buildings with already installed external thermal wall insulation
- upgrading interiors by providing heat and sound insulation
- applications in new constructions compatible with legislatory specifications.
- very low thermal conductivity coefficient compared to existing systems
- thickness and weight are small compared to the competition
- no need for additional infrastructure thus the panel can be installed even in very old or listed buildings
- no drilling required: the panels are glued to the facade with special polyurethane glue of unlimited life cycle
- weight does not exceed 3kg/sq.m. (1/3 the weight of existing insulation systems on the market)
- installation takes just 3 phases, while traditional insulations require at least seven. It does not require the building façade to be drilled, or water to produce mortars. Thus, it is faster and more economical than those of the competition
- due to the panel’s form (existence of a lip at the contact interface), the possibility of creating thermal bridges is eliminated. This is a very important advantage as thermal bridges can lead to significant heat losses and consequently increase heating costs and harmful emissions into the atmosphere
- the insulating panel can be installed on top of existing insulation, without the need to remove it
- panel is non-toxic as it consists only of inert materials
- product has no negative impact on the environment since it can be recycled.
The insulation system also offers significant economic benefits:-
- cost of heating & cooling is reduced by up to 58%
- harmonization & compliance of the building with the new EU Regulation on Energy Efficiency of Buildings is ensured for old and new buildings
- in existing buildings, its system is installed faster & more economically than any competitor’s product.
