General information

Short Summary
A Dutch SME is a leading manufacturer of cables and cords to strengthen sail and canvas. An important market is the Tarpaulin maker’s market. Most important products for this segment are TIR cable, cords for keder inlays and anti-vandalism tape. TIR stands for ‘Transport Internationaux Routiers’. The Dutch SME is looking for a distribution service agreement with distributors for the tarpaulin market.
Full Description
A Dutch SME produces a wide range of innovative high quality plastic profiles, cables, cords and keder for global industrial niche markets to strengthen sail and canvas. The scope of application is very wide, for example truck tarpaulins, awnings, tents, boat covers, stable curtains or covers. The Dutch SME is globally active, but the emphasis lies in Europe.

The Dutch SME is specialised in the production of TIR cable. The cable can be made of different materials and may have special core structures and materials. The TIR cable is produced entirely in accordance with directives from the TIR convention. The cable is supplied on a roll, or as a specific length with end pieces.
The Dutch SME is looking for a distribution services agreement with a distributor for the tarpaulin market.

An important country for new business development is France. The desired distributor profile in France is an entrepreneur with an established customer base in the Truck and Trailer industry and container parts. The distributor supplies parts to their customers for the production or repair of trucks, trailers and/or containers. They are active throughout France or concentrate on a specific region. If the concentration is in one region, it is desirable to have a distributor for each region.

In practice, the Dutch SME can often handle a national market with 1 or 2 distributors who work nationally. The distributor is desired to add the offered items to their catalogue and is able to purchase pallets and keep stock.
Big manufacturers of tarpaulin, tents or keder inlays may lead to new business too. Such companies are able to keep stock themselves.
Of course interested distributors or big manufacturers coming from other countries are welcome for business development too.
